Most team leaders are promoted because they were excellent at the job itself, then discover that leading the people who do the job needs a different set of skills. This self-study course gives you practical tools to lead a team with confidence, whether you are newly promoted or want to strengthen your existing leadership.
Across six lessons you will follow a realistic case study, a new warehouse team leader turning around a struggling team of 14, as she learns to balance managing and leading, adapt her style to each person, build a shared team vision and charter, listen and give feedback that helps, hold one-to-ones and difficult conversations, motivate and recognise her team, delegate at the right level, build trust, solve problems with root-cause tools and choose how to make decisions, including under pressure. Each lesson includes charts and diagrams, worked examples and short questions that check your understanding, and the course ends with a 20-question final exam.
