Every office produces the same documents again and again: quotations, certificates, letters, delivery notes. In this course you build a system that turns a simple form into a finished, branded PDF and an email ready to send, using only the Google tools you already have.

Meet Al-Faiha Office Supplies
You will build the system for Al-Faiha Office Supplies, an example stationery supplier in Basra. Rana, the sales coordinator, writes about 30 quotations a week in Word. Each one takes 15 minutes: copy last week's file, change the name, look up prices, recalculate, save as PDF, attach, write an email. Mistakes happen: an old price, a wrong total, the previous customer's name left in the text.
The manager, Mr. Hameed, wants three things: the price list in one place, quotations that are always correct and look the same, and every quotation numbered and saved so nothing is lost.

ويريد المدير السيد حميد ثلاثة أمور: قائمة الأسعار في مكان واحد، وعروضاً صحيحة دائماً وبالشكل نفسه، وترقيم كل عرض وحفظه حتى لا يضيع شيء.
The tools, and what they cost
Apps Script is a free programming tool built into every Google account. It can read your sheet, copy documents, create PDFs and send email. You will copy and adapt ready code; you do not need to be a programmer, but you will learn to read code calmly, line by line.

Apps Script أداة برمجة مجانية مدمجة في كل حساب Google، تستطيع قراءة جدولك ونسخ المستندات وإنشاء ملفات PDF وإرسال البريد. ستنسخ شيفرة جاهزة وتعدّلها، فلا تحتاج إلى أن تكون مبرمجاً، لكنك ستتعلم قراءة الشيفرة بهدوء سطراً بسطر.
Before you start
- A computer with Google Chrome.
- A Google account. Use a company account if your business has Google Workspace; otherwise a Gmail account created for this project.
- Your letterhead or logo, to make the template look like your real documents.
- Your real price list, or at least ten items with prices.
- About one hour a day for a week.

If the owner's account is closed, its scripts and triggers stop. A company account stays when people change jobs.
